How I spend my

wondering if i'm doing this right

finding out my tea has gone cold

worrying about shit I read online

Hey, Hello, Hola!

Getting to know people is hard… eeek it’s like dating back in the day when I did it and google didn’t exist so you had to actually ask questions not randomly stalk their social media. Let’s go Old School – ask me a question

1) Are you named after anyone? Yes, Natalie Wood. Although I just got a new phone and every time I type my name it asks if my surname is Portman… wonder how long that will last.

2) What’s the first thing you notice about people? Oooh usually something that makes them uncomfortable. It’s a gift, I can turn most conversations into an awkward silence in about 2 minutes if I don’t apply my brain to mouth filter.

3) How Tall Are you?  I’m pretty tall compared to most people, but I am the runt of the litter in my family. I would love to be even taller but it does make finding clothes a bit of a grind and don’t even get my started on finding hobbit sized shoes !

4)Are you Competitive? Embarrassingly so.  I have a drive to win…everything!

5) What’s on the top of your bucket list?  Going to Vietnam. Since coming to Melbourne I have met so many wonderful people and eaten some amazing food. I just have to go!

6)If you could give your younger self any advice what would it be? Make the most of that lightening quick metabolism because that shit will not last! One day in the not so distant future it will stop and you will have to limit yourself to 6 biscuits a day….

Phew …. that wasn’t so bad.

My Site

So this is the home of all the things i’m passionate about. Just because I’m a parent doesn’t mean I don’t do anything else. So i’ve split my site up to cover it all.

This is the dear diary section, the musing, the pondering, the wondering if i’m getting this right. Share my journey through motherhood in a strange land. The highs and lows of being a reasonably crusty mama ( with the breastfeeding and co-sleeping and RIE approach) with a terrible potty mouth.

Ahh the job, the side hustle, the daily grind. What ever it is you call it – its the bit that pay the bills and delivers most of the thrills. I am lucky because I absolutely LOVE my job. I work with some fabulous women who run the most amazing businesses. So I will share a lot of what my role involves in my WORK section 🙂 If you want to get your geek on and do exciting things online – then check it out!

The home of all thing tiny human related. Food, Crafts, Books ( we absolutely LOVE to read and I will include some of our reading aloud) and ideas or resources we have found useful.

So drop me a line or write me a comment – I’d love to hear from you!

And yes…. I do have my hat on inside out in my photo. Keeping it real on 20 minutes of sleep
